This is a software platform for holding raffles*, developed by members of the band Friends In Real Life.
All payments are handled using Stripe: we never store any of your credit card or other financial details in our system.
Any personal details you provide (email, phone number, shipping address) are only used to get you your raffle item(s) if you win. We do not sell or share this information with any outside companies.
If you live outside the United States and win a raffle, we will contact you to request help with covering postage. But that help is purely voluntary. We will send your item(s) whether or not you can help with shipping costs.
We use these raffles as a way of raising money to put out music, or as benefits for people/organizations we want to help. That said, it is not necessary to purchase a ticket to enter. You can enter any raffle for free by mailing us a letter or postcard explaining which raffle you would like to enter and where to mail your items if you win:
Low Capacity Music
P.O. Box 44
Tucson, AZ 85702
We will wait a full week after the close of a raffle to give time for mail entries to come in. Any entry recieved by then which is postmarked before the close date will be honored.
If you have purchased a ticket online or signed up for an account, you can sign in to see and manage your information in our system. If you have entered a drawing through the mail, you can email us or send a letter/postcard to ask what information we have stored about you.
If you have purchased a ticket online or signed up for an account, you can delete all your data in our system at any time by signing in to your account and clicking the "Delete Account" button. If you have entered a drawing through the mail, you can email us or send a letter/postcard to request that we delete any information we have stored about you.
Please contact Stripe if you would like your financial details deleted, as we do not store that information at any point (and have no way of guaranteeing its removal on our end).
The software itself is distributed as free/open-source software under an AGPLv3 license. The source code is available here: https://gitlab.com/low-capacity-music/raffler/.

*We are using the term "raffle" colloquially. Legally these are "sweepstakes," but that term feels so ugly on our tongues that we only use it here in the fine print. But anywhere we refer to a "raffle" we are referring to a "sweepstakes." The distinction is that there is an option to enter the drawing for free.
